Dino Melaye raises questions over Tinubu, Shettima’s absence from Nigeria at same time

 A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dino Melaye, has questioned why President Bola Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima, are out of the country at the same time.

 

In a post on his verified X handle, the former Kogi West senator asked who is currently in charge of Nigeria.

 

President Tinubu embarked on a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.

 

The President’s first stop was in London, United Kingdom and then proceeded to Paris in France.

 

Similarly, Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Sunday departed for the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

 

Reacting, Melaye said, “The President and Vice President are out of the country. Power is not transmitted.

 

“Who is in charge of Nigeria as we speak? Tinubu travels out of Nigeria every month. Never for once has power been transmitted.”
