The national anthem singer who decided to use our time honoring America by waving a Pride flag before Thursday's Golden State Warriors game has offered up his official response to the backlash ...

Shockingly, it's as tone-deaf as you'd expect.

Weird! Never saw it coming.

EX-NBA PLAYER SAYS LEBRON JAMES SHOULD 'STAND THE F--- STILL' DURING NATIONAL ANTHEM

For those who missed it, the Warriors held their Pride Night for Thursday's home game against Miami. Singer Jason Brock had the honor of performing the pregame national anthem, and promptly whipped out a small Pride flag when he got to the lyrics, "What so proudly we hailed ..." and began waving it around and nodding his head.

The crowd gave a relatively diluted response, and then the cameras panned to several Warriors players who appeared to be laughing.

You would think they were laughing at the absurdity of the situation, which would be a natural response given the disrespect. Nobody knows exactly why they were amused, but Brock was appalled at the notion that it could've been at his disgusting antics.

Take a look:

"Wow I didn’t interpret it like this, but I wasn’t watching the players," he said, via X. "Just because they were laughing doesn’t mean it was because of the anthem."

DREAM, VALKYRIES LEAVE COURT BEFORE TI’S 10-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER SINGS WNBA FINALS ANTHEM

Amazing. These people are amazing. Regardless of why they were laughing, it's just not the point.

Can't we just sing a normal, respectful national anthem? I don't get it. We just spent weeks breaking down pregame film of the WNBA Finals because nobody wanted to respect our anthem, and now we're waving a Pride flag during it?

What world are we living in? It's not asking a ton. It's really not. We're simply asking you to behave normally during the national anthem. It's quite literally the least you could do in that situation.

Of course, that's just not how the world works in 2026. It's all virtue-signaling and gaslighting. If you're not pandering, you're not trying.

Something as sacred as the Star-Spangled Banner can no longer be done without someone — or some team — hijacking it for some "cause" or some sort of activism.

It's the national anthem. We've done this for hundreds of years. Stand up, pay attention, be respectful and leave the other stuff at home. Do it on your own time.

Not America's.
