A bit humbling to admit, but I haven’t lived on my own in over 20 years. My ex handled all the design and decor, so staring at a completely empty space has me feeling a bit out of my depth.

I just bought this condo, and while I have a blank canvas, I really need help with layout, space planning, and sourcing. (Note: Any furniture seen in the listing photos belongs to the previous owner and will be completely gone.)
I specifically want to avoid the cold, cliché "bachelor pad" look. My goal is a calm, comfortable home that feels grounded, warm, and uncluttered, while still handling a few very specific functional needs:

  1. A comfortable space for my daughter: She visits and sleeps over regularly, so I need a dedicated, cozy sleeping setup for her that feels welcoming and permanent, not like an afterthought or a temporary cot.

  2. Dedicated work zone: I run business operations from home and need a functional desk/work nook. Crucially, I have a commercial production printer (Canon imageRUNNER DX C5750i with booklet finisher). It’s large and heavy, so I need clever placement or semi-concealed cabinetry/nook planning so it doesn't dominate the room.

  3. Sneaker storage (~100 pairs): I have a collection of around 100 pairs. I want clean, closed or modular built-in storage where they’re organized rather than stacked plastic display boxes that make the place look like a college dorm.

  4. Living/Media area: Setting up an 80" LG TV (wall-mounted) with proportional seating that stays relaxed without overcrowding the room.

Since I’m starting completely from scratch and buying everything new, I’m open to layout reconfigurations, modular storage systems (IKEA PAX/custom hacks), and creative zoning ideas.

I’ve attached floor plans and empty room photos in the comments. Would love recommendations on space planning, furniture scale, or referrals if you take on e-design/remote interior styling projects!
