The push to experience Dune 3 on the big screen

Chalamet opens the video by expressing his excitement about the upcoming release. He says, “We are so excited that we’ll soon get to share Dune: Part Three with you and the audiences around the world.”

Villeneuve follows with an explanation of the team’s approach to filmmaking. The director notes, “We make these movies for audiences to enjoy theaters together on the biggest screen possible.” Chalamet then confirms that tickets are on sale before Villeneuve expresses his anticipation for the December release.

The third installment brings back Chalamet as Paul Atreides and Zendaya as Chani. The returning cast also includes Florence Pugh as Irulan, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides. Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Charlotte Rampling also return, while Robert Pattinson joins the franchise as Scytale.

Villeneuve directs the film from a screenplay co-written with Brian K. Vaughan. The story draws inspiration from Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, which follows Paul as he navigates the consequences of his rise to power. The sequel continues the story from Dune and Dune: Part Two.

Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe, Villeneuve, and Joe Caracciolo Jr. serve as producers. Meanwhile, executive producers include Joshua Grode, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, Richard P. Rubinstein, John Harrison, and Jessica Derhammer.

Dune: Part Three will hit the theaters on December 18, 2026.
