Follow us on Google NewsThe continent’s biggest asset manager gets more into the public blockchain infrastructure. Amundi has issued a tokenized share class of its Core STOXX Europe 600 fund on Ethereum, bringing a major European equity strategy onchain.
Europe’s largest asset manager has brought a flagship European equity index fund onto @ethereum, extending its tokenization efforts beyond cash management.
@Amundi_FR, which manages €2.4 trillion, has launched a tokenized share class of Amundi Core STOXX Europe 600, issued on Ethereum and developed with @CACEIS.
The fund tracks the STOXX Europe 600, an index of 600 large, mid and small cap companies across Europe, and is used as a core building block for portfolio allocation.
Amundi’s first tokenized share class, a money market fund launched with CACEIS in November 2025, was also issued on Ethereum.

The transfer broadens Amundi’s in-house program into cash management to diversify market exposure in equity assets while maintaining the traditional Amundi business model.
Amundi Takes a €22.8B Equity Fund OnchainThe new share class is based on units of Amundi Core STOXX Europe 600, a flagship share class strategy which follows 600 large, mid and small-cap Shares of Europe.
Ledger Insights estimates the total value of the fund’s assets under management to be around €22.8 billion, which makes the tokenization of the equity-index one of the largest in Europe so far.
These Tokenized Units are issued on the public Ethereum chain and were created by CACEIS who provides the technology and infrastructure for tokenization of the fund shares. Amundi stated that the blockchain based class is still within the existing fund framework; its investors will be able to use the product in conventional ways.
That is key: Amundi isn’t replacing the fund with a crypto-native offering. Rather, it’s developing an onchain distributional and settlement platform into an existing investment opportunity.

Ethereum Expands From Cash Funds Into EquitiesThe launch complements Amundi’s inaugural tokenized money market fund share class that was launched with CACEIS and also has been issued on Ethereum since November 2025.
Amundi then went even further with digital-asset initiatives such as the launch of a tokenized cash-management product and blockchain-based product treasury projects, including those in cooperation with CACEIS and Ant International.
A New Test for Public Blockchain Finance
Entering a wide open European equity series represents a bigger challenge for tokenized finance.
Money market funds are among the most traditional asset classes for real-world asset tokenization due to the short duration of the assets suited to digital cash-management. The other exposure type is equity index funds, which means that you have a long-term investment in a hundred or more listed companies.
Tokenized fund shares could enable quicker settlement, increased access, greater transparency and greater automation, said Amundi. The asset manager also aims to gradually create further institutional client and platform solutions based on tokens.
Traditional Fund Structure Stays in Place
The underlying portfolio is not affected by its Ethereum version. The tokenized share class does not replace the fund itself, as blockchain is, for now, just the infrastructure for the issuance, sustaining and future digital distribution of the shares.
Amundi hasn’t provided details of the size of the new tokenised share class, or whether other products could be introduced in the near future.
Nevertheless, a new multibillion-euro STOXX Europe 600 strategy is being brought onto Ethereum, beyond stablecoins and Treasuries/money market funds.
Still, bringing a multibillion-euro STOXX Europe 600 strategy onto Ethereum gives the network another institutional tokenization use case beyond stablecoins, Treasuries and money market funds.
