Everton’s owner, The Friedkin Group, is exploring the “sale of a controlling interest” in the club. A statement on Friday said new investment options were being looked into, including a sale.

The group completed its takeover in December 2024, ending the turbulent era of Farhad Moshiri, and oversaw the move to a new stadium.
