This 2006 Ford GT is one of seven for its model year that were finished in Midnight Blue and specified without racing stripes. It was purchased new by the late Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Mac Davis, and its dashboard was autographed by his friend, Carroll Shelby. Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8, it features a six-speed manual gearbox, a helical limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, air conditioning, and Ebony leather upholstery. The vehicle was exported to Canada and acquired by the seller in 2012, and it has 6k miles. This no-stripe Ford GT is offered in Canada with previous registration cards, manufacturer’s literature, service records, factory car cover, an accident-free Carfax report, and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
The Camilo Pardo–designed GT was styled as an homage to the Le Mans–winning GT40 racing cars of the 1960s, and it features aluminum body panels over an extruded-aluminum space frame and roll-bonded floors.
This example is one of seven for 2006 that were finished at the factory in Midnight Blue and specified with neither side stripes nor over-the-top racing stripes. Features include HID headlights, fog lights, side air intakes, a vented hood, a front splitter, a rear diffuser, and a dual center-exit exhaust system.
The 18″ and 19″ BBS cast aluminum wheels wear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Scuderia tires. The double-wishbone suspension has unequal-length aluminum control arms along with coilover shocks and front and rear stabilizer bars. The Brembo braking system features four-piston monoblock calipers with cross-drilled and ventilated rotors that measure 14” up front and 13.2” out back. The brake fluid was replaced in June 2023.
The cockpit is trimmed in Ebony leather and houses manually adjustable seats designed by Sparco that feature carbon-fiber shells as well as GT40-style ventilation grommets and harness slots. The central tunnel is topped by an aluminum console with rotary climate controls, and the aluminum floor panels are covered by carpet floor mats embroidered with the car’s production sequence. Additional interior amenities include air conditioning, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, and an aftermarket shift knob.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is affixed to a tilting and telescoping column ahead of the GT40-inspired instrument array. Toggle-switch controls are positioned under additional gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, boost, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 6k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. After miles on the odometer were recorded as kilometers, a mileage inconsistency is listed in a December 2012 entry on the Carfax report, which notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.
The mid-mounted 5.4-liter DOHC V8 features an aluminum block, cylinder heads, and pistons in addition to a Lysholm screw-type supercharger, a dry-sump lubrication system, and a water-to-air intercooler. Factory-rated output was 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. LED light strips have been added to the upper engine bay braces. The oil and coolant were changed in June 2023, and the battery was replaced in April 2026.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential.
The window sticker lists initial delivery through Galpin Ford in North Hills, California, along with factory colors, equipment, and a Total MSRP of $153,345.
As shown on the registration pictured above, Davis registered the car in California with the license plate THXLVIS.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. It lists the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
