I would like to ask book lovers from English-Speaking countries. Do you have favorite novels which is not written by English-Speaker?
We know that US have lots of great novelists and writers. Books from UK and Ireland i guess are very well-known among book readers too. But what about Fiction books that are required translation to english?
I think people in Anglophobe countries may know Authors books of like: Fyodor Dostoevsky, Albert Camus, Dante, Victor Hugo, Frances Kafka, Leo Tolstoy, Hans Christian Anderson, Selma Lagerlof, Astrid Lindgren, Jules Verne.
I think we can name many i mentioned probably those that are well-known and were adapted to films or tv shows.
So question do you have favorite Translated novels that are considered Hidden Gem in Anglophone countries?
