Former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has said that manipulating election results in Nigeria has become increasingly difficult.

Speaking on Channels Television Tuesday night, Fayose, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but currently working with the Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government, insisted that President Tinubu would secure at least 12 million votes in the 2027 polls.

“Politics is not a tea party. Asiwaju (President Tinubu) will have 12 million votes. Go and write it down. You know, to rig elections is now difficult. Very difficult,” Fayose declared.

Fayose was recently appointed Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Board by President Tinubu, a role he assumed after publicly endorsing Tinubu’s re-election bid.
