The Federal Government is set to begin procurement training for Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs.

The Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, in a statement on Monday, said the training, which is expected to begin on Tuesday, would equip Nigerian businesses with the knowledge and skills needed to access federal government procurement contracts.

The BPP explained that the initiative aims to strengthen local businesses, create jobs and promote inclusive economic growth in Nigeria.

According to the government agency, the move forms part of broader efforts to support MSMEs by expanding their access to public procurement opportunities, improving their business capacity and strengthening their contribution to Nigeria’s economic development.
