My online interior design company has been great so far, but while we were having elements of this TV wall installed, we noticed the measurements were off. We had to stop the whole project, send the tradespeople home, and re-assess. The design service was going to charge me to review the issues with the design specs/measurements where they made the error! Not cool.
I realized we could figure this out with a little Reddit assistance. We re-did all the measurements and I created the actual specs (poorly) on graph paper to visualize the issue better. Designer left out a somewhat narrow section BETWEEN A (shelves with Ledgerstone), and B, charcoal acoustic panels, which caused the problem.
I have a lot of this material already, and the shelves at left are already in and waiting for measurements to be confirmed before white Ledgerstone installed. We own the console, rug, the blue chair (but not the one in image), the sconces (not well shown, they're muted mottled gold gingko leaves). Some of the acoustic panels are up.
We had major issues with the marble panels supplier, too.
So what I'm trying to confirm is what works best in section B (where I show the same Ledgerstone behind the shelves in a vertical strip), and what to put behind the TV, Section C. I'm just feeling the marble is going to become passé soon. We have other marble in the space but I'm veering towards something more soothing.
I've attached the designer's rendering missing section B, and with the marble, and the my schematic. I played with chat and narrowed down some options, shown in the comments following this post - chat supplied the labels. The rest of this great room has teak MCM dining chairs with blue fabric and table, and the neutral kitchen.
So I just need and appreciate your help on "between A&B" (I forgot to mark that in my plan but that section fixes one of the designer’s errors) and section C. Please don't redecorate my whole space because I will go insane, and also note the credenza edges will align with the edges of the TV backing. Sometimes Chat goes off-plot.
Thank you. I'm terrible at making up my mind but I always had a feeling that the white marble wasn't right for us. Also I need something that doesn't cost a fortune and preferable something we can possibly put up ourselves - we're on a budget. You'd be amazed at the deals I got on materials just with a little research!
