Pinellas County Sheriff officers in Florida weren’t going to let a little thing like a minor car accident by a pizza delivery driver lead to a cold slice of pie.
So, on Tuesday, deputies took matters into their own hands when the driver handed over two boxes of pizza in a red delivery bag to one of them, reports the weeklytimesnow.com.
Bodycam footage released by Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook shows an officer grabbing a bag from the delivery driver, who had been involved in a collision shortly before 2 p.m., and making the food delivery himself to a home just a few blocks away.
“Cold pizza? Not on our watch,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
Thus, this conversation went down as relayed on the bodycam footage.

Just call it 911 pizza
“You waiting on a pizza delivery?” the police officer says to the man outside the delivery house.
“Yes, sir, Rizzoli’s?” says the man, whose face and body are blurred out. “They called me and said she was there (at the accident scene). Yeah, I didn’t want to disturb you guys. Like hey guys, I’m right here. Sorry for the accident, but yeah.”
“There’s that,” the officer says with a laugh.
“Hey, I definitely appreciate it,” the man says.
“Of course, buddy,” the officer replies.
“I was thinking what to do,” said the man. “So I was just standing there forever with the dog and stuff. But hey, I definitely appreciate it, absolutely everything.”
“There you go bud,” said the officer. “Enjoy your pizza.”
