Is funny how much I always hated the gym… till I got to see the results firsthand. I was always looking for excuses not to go, while also signing up for those deals where you pay a year in advance so that I would make sure that I'm going and being consistent with it without failing after the first day I overslept. It's funny because I was doing everything but hating it so much. As somone that is not big on exercise and always fails to commit to training, this was for me just another failed attempt to create the habit of working out. But you cannot imagine my surprise when that wasn't the case. Getting to experience firsthand how much a 3 months of workouts actually change your body. Somewhat now I was lean and fit, after years of being simply a very thin person with no one musle a cero strongness.
Now I sometimes feel as if I were part of some cult, as I go around trying to convince people that going to the gym will be some kind of magical experience that will completely change their life in the best way possible. That may be too much for just signing up for a gym, but it's crazy how easy you end up creating the healthy habit of going multiple times a week. And the best part is that "the cult" actually works. I'm the fittest I've been in years, and just from hitting the gym. So we can joke around all we want, but locking in actually works. It's not magical. It's hard work and consistency. Is creating the healthy habit. It's showing up even when you deeply, deeply do not want to. Even that Monday where you slept horribly and had to do a million things, you still made the time to go, and that is what actually makes the difference. Is you and your capability of doing it even when you hate it, because only that way will you be able to actually see and enjoy the results. It's not magic. It's you.
