So there's definitely a team of people churning out books under Freida McFadden's name, right? Are we in agreement on that? I've read a few of her books and am convinced that this is the case.
First off, there's no way a publisher like Sourcebooks isn't cashing in on McFadden's name and milking it for all it's worth (and one person can only write so many novels per year.) Secondly, I've noticed a dramatic drop in quality in her books (which were already pretty simplistic to begin with) and they are written in a way that I can only justify as a low-effort attempt by an anonymous writer at the Freida McFadden Factory for Lost Souls.
Same could be said for Colleen Hoover, though I'd say she has somewhat of a more recognizable voice.
