The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has constituted its national campaign council for the 2027 general election.

Seriake Dickson, the party’s national leader, will chair the council, while Peter Obi, the NDC presidential candidate, will serve as co-chairman.

Cleopas Zuwoghe, the NDC national chairman, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s vice-presidential candidate, will serve as vice-chairman and co-vice-chairman, respectively.

Ikenna Enekweizu, the party’s national secretary, will serve as council secretary, while Ibrahim Abdulkarim, an ICT strategist, has been appointed director-general.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the NDC said the national campaign council will deliver a “people-centred and issue-based campaign” ahead of the elections.

“The National Campaign Council will provide strategic leadership, coordinate campaign activities across the country, and drive the mobilisation of Nigerians behind the party’s vision of a new, just, and prosperous Nigeria,” the statement reads.

The national campaign council is expected to be inaugurated on Monday in Abuja.
