General Hospital‘s recent episode witnessed Anna ending the torment that Peter August’s vision had put her through. Wes Ramsey, who plays Peter, has exited the show. Prior to his brief 2026 return, his last appearance on the show was in 2022. At the time, he faced a brutal fate at the hands of Felicia Scorpio when he tried to harm her daughter, Maxie.

Wes Ramsey’s Peter leaves General Hospital

In the recent episode, Ramsey was back as Peter August in Anna’s hallucination, attempting to manipulate her into committing an unexpected crime. He encourages her to murder Britt Westbourne to secure the safety of her and her family.

He reasons that she has to kill Faison’s last child to ensure she remains safe for the rest of her life. For the first time, however, instead of listening to Peter’s visions, Anna does what she believes is right. She doesn’t shoot Britt but Peter, concluding his reign of terror.

Peter August was introduced on GH in 2017. He is the son of Faison and Alex Devane. Over the years, he tormented several characters but met a brutal fate in 2022. Felicia Scorpio took matters into her own hands when Peter tried to harm her daughter. She struck him in the head with a tire iron. Earlier this year, Ramsey’s Peter returned to the show to torment Anna in visions.

His first appearance in 2026 was when Anna was held hostage and heavily drugged. In an interview with TV Insider, he reflected on his storyline and what it was like to share emotionally intense scenes with Finola Hughes’ Anna.

“I enjoyed that, and it made it very rich to wrap myself around the words that they gave me to say.” He further spoke about the intensity and depth of the dialogue, adding that because these were another character’s hallucinations, “there was no pulling of any punches.” The actor continued, “It gave us more to really dive into, which is what Finola and I always loved doing together for many years,” he added.
