The San Francisco 49ers on Sunday added a surprise addition to their list of injuries when they announced tight end George Kittle is dealing with an illness ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Per the team's announcement the illness isn't expected to impact Kittle's availability in Seattle.

However, while Kittle may be available there are question marks about his fitness and ability to play at a high level. It'll be worth watching whether his snap count is limited or if he's not as effective when he is on the field. It stands to reason an illness could slow him down on a play like his 56-yard touchdown in Week 4 vs. the Denver Broncos.

There's an added onus on the 49ers TEs Sunday with Kyle Juszczyk nursing a knee injury. Veteran Jack Stoll is up from the practice squad to help San Francisco's TE group rotate in filling in on some of Juszczyk's responsibilities. If Kittle is limited in any way it'll only put more strain on that position.
