Well this is not good. Bayern Munich and Germany fans were exited to see what Jamal Musiala could do in a new-look DFB team with Jürgen Klopp at the helm. However, it seems those hopes have been dashed in record time.
Shortly ahead of kickoff, it was announced that Jamal Musiala had been pulled out of the starting XI, replaced by Nadiem Amiri. According to Sky Sports journalist Kerry Hau (via Twitter) the young man felt something in his thigh during warmup, and was taken out as a precautionary measure.
This is another biter setback for Musiala, who was probably looking forward to a fresh start under Klopp. However, with all the issues surrounding his health, it is only natural that the medical staff are taking zero risks. Musiala will play if he feels 100% fit, and not before that.
