Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Biseni community in Yenagoa Local Government Area following a breakdown of law and order.
The measure, announced on Friday, takes immediate effect.
It came after the governor received briefings from security commanders about the situation in the community, where some individuals reportedly barricaded roads leading into and within the town and set bonfires.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Daniel Alabra disclosed the decision in a statement.
