Working in the service industry can be so hard. People who have never worked in customer service love to assume that it is easy. As if it were just smiling and being friendly. It kind of is, until the customer finds your "friendliness" annoying and starts mistreating you, or thinks that you are being mean because you are tired, or just wants your life to be as miserable as theirs. We can think of millions of reasons why customers mistreat the personnel working in customer service. But there is no way of end to that list. People are just mean to employees. And that is exactly why working in customer service is SO hard.
In this story, we can argue that this mistreatment is worse than any other. But the truth is, it has become so common. This kind of behavior from customers toward employees. When I read the story, it didn't even surprise me. This is how A LOT OF PEOPLE behave and treat the staff that is working. It's unbelievable, and it shows how bad we are as a society. This kind of attitude is not only inadmissible, but they should be ashamed of themselves. This is not okay. And change should be made immediately.
Unfortunately, as I said, this kind of behavior is common, so common. But that doesn't mean that it is acceptable. This comeback that the hairstylist made is great, funny, and smart. But in her case, I would have simply thrown them out of the salon. That kind of person should be denied service. If they can't treat people right, then they don't deserve anything. You get what you give. So, let's hope that this word turns into a better one in the future. In the meantime, we are stuck with awful people who find joy in bringing others down. They love to mistreat and mock other people just to feel superior or better about themselves. In reality, they are just miserable beings who do not deserve anything.
