HBO’s acclaimed TV show with record-breaking Emmy nominations has received its Blu-ray box set release window. The award-winning series was originally launched in 2021 and ran for five seasons.
The HBO TV show Hacks will soon be available in its entirety inside a Blu-ray box set. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release Hacks: The Complete Series as a Blu-ray collection this fall during the holiday season, according to Variety.
Along with all 50 episodes across five seasons, the box set will contain never-before-seen bonus features, though specific details remain under wraps. “We are so excited the complete series will be available on Blu-ray,” creators, showrunners, and executive producers Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky said in a joint statement. “It will also include bloopers and deleted scenes!”
What Emmy Awards has HBO’s Hacks TV show already won?Hacks has been a fan-favorite HBO TV show since its debut, and its consistent presence at the Primetime Emmys serves as proof. Hacks has won 12 Emmys so far, including the outstanding comedy series trophy in 2024, and a total of 86 nominations.
In 2025, Hacks’ win also included its lead cast members. The show took home trophies for the lead comedy actress (Jean Smart), supporting comedy actress (Hannah Einbinder), and comedy guest actress (Julianne Nicholson).
Additionally, Smart has won Emmys for her performances in all four seasons so far. It won’t be a surprise if she wins for the final chapter as well. Speaking of which, Hacks Season 5 recently made Emmy history by earning 24 nominations across various categories.
These include Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.
Cast members Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Paul W. Downs, and Megan Stalter all secured acting nods for the final season, alongside a nomination for the digital companion series Hacks: Bit by Bit.
Hacks Season 5 has received an outstanding response from critics as well as viewers. Currently, it holds a spectacular Tomatometer score of 97% and an audience score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
An exact release date for Hacks: The Complete Series on Blu-ray is expected to be announced by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment in the coming weeks.
