I moved into this home 6+ months ago. The media unit is custom and must stay. The dining room is behind the sofa and is in its finished state. The living room I'm struggling with. The sofa came from a previous home and the scale seems off here, as does the rug.
I think I need to go up a size to 9x12 area rug. Current one is 7'6 x 9'6.
I also am considering either a 3 seater sofa (the Aurora from Povison) in dark Grey, OR a 5 seater sectional - corner seat plus 2 seats on each side. Color would be dark - I'm into browns at the moment.
I would like a cozy lounging chair or 2 as well but can't tell if I can fit 2 with a sofa, or even 1 with a sectional.
A floor lamp will go in the corner to the right of the media center.
Help me narrow down my options, and propose anything I haven't thought of. I have 2 young kids, so the tight back of the Aurora sofa appeals to me for less fluffing and straightening of cushions. Darker colors also appeal for the same reason - kids.
