A day after announcing their initial 53-man roster, the Houston Texans were not awarded any players off the NFL's waiver wire Monday.
After sifting through hundreds of players who had been cut Sunday evening, the Texans opted to not put in a claim on any players from other teams, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Houston Chronicle.
Meanwhile, offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston, whom the Texans cut Sunday but had hoped to bring back to their practice squad, was claimed by the Miami Dolphins.
For now, the Texans' 53-man roster will remain relatively the same as it was at the NFL's deadline.
The Texans do plan to sign edge rusher Dominique Robinson to a one-year deal Tuesday, the source said. To make room for Robinson, Houston needs to make a corresponding move.

Meanwhile, the Texans' practice squad is continuing to take shape. Among those who will return to the practice squad, per league sources, are wide receiver Lewis Bond and running backs Noah Whittington and Jawhar Jordan.
Defensive tackle Naquan Jones, who was part of Sunday's cuts, will not return, one source said.
Bond and Jordan were among the surprise cuts. Jordan was a fifth-round draft pick in 2024. He suffered a hip injury in camp and missed the preseason.
Bond was a sixth-round pick this past April who participated in every game during the preseason.
Teams are allotted 16 players for the practice squad.
