Q: A collection agency started calling me two weeks ago about a loan I co-signed for my ex back in 2017. When we split up in 2019, we made an agreement that he would pay off the loan. That’s the last I heard of it. Now someone is telling me I owe about $4,300 and they want a payment today to show good faith. I don’t even know if this is real because I have no idea where my ex is and I’ve been unable to reach him.
