I’ve been working on an Android app for the past few months, and I finished the first version around two months ago.

The app itself is ready, but I still haven’t properly launched it.

The biggest problem I’m facing isn’t development anymore. It’s distribution and getting real users.

I can build the product, fix bugs, add features, and improve the UI — but when it comes to answering:

- Where do I find my first users?

- How do I get people to actually discover the app?

- Which channels are worth focusing on for a new Android app?

- Should I focus on Reddit, TikTok/YouTube, ASO, communities, SEO, or something else?

- How do you get your first 100 users when you don't already have an audience?

- How much should I rely on organic acquisition before considering paid ads?

I’ve realized that building the app and getting people to use it are two completely different problems.

For those of you who have launched your own Android apps or indie products:

What actually worked for you when you were starting from zero?

I’m particularly interested in practical experiences rather than generic advice like “do marketing” or “build an audience.”

If you had to launch an Android app again today with little or no marketing budget, what would you do during the first 30 days?

I’d really appreciate hearing about what worked — and especially what didn’t work.
