Christianity and humanism/atheism (mostly just a stand-in for "modern western culture in general", its inaccurate but what else am I supposed to put)

Me being lazy

Humanism/atheism again. I've never seen anyone codify this taboo in western culture but I think it's pretty common and *technically* there's no explicit reason for a christian to believe that particularly smart animals have more moral value so I went with humanism/atheism

Veganism

Jainism and Swedenborgianism (the religion Johnny Appleseed was a part of and thus why he planted trees by seed instead of grafting)
