I just found out about the 2017 Chess Championship ruling against Nikolay Noritsyn for the crime of not having a spare queen on hand and doing some quick thinking under time pressure and it just makes me super mad.

It's just so completely unfair and arbitrary. Good on Nikolay for not having a melt down or a temper tantrum because it completely deserves it. One of the worst sports rulings I've ever seen, second only to the Norwegian handball team being penalised for the women wearing shorts (still shorter than the men's teams) instead of g-strings
