I am not sure why this movie wasn't more successful. I'm not the biggest Darce Montgomery fan but I think he works 100 percent as the lead in this movie. I think the other Rangers were outstandingly cast and they gave them interesting backstories for as little screen time is spent on them. I think where the movie falls a bit flat is that Elizabeth Banks gives a somewhat campy performance, but otherwise I think the movie nailed the action and it wasn't a silly kids show I grew up on. It felt like a legitimate serious movie.

I don't know how they'd reboot this franchise again and make something that's flat out better than this movie outside of hiring a visionary director and making it not appeal to power rangers fans at all which defeats the purpose.
