The translucent panel of the Citgo sign has a raised logo and embossed lettering set against a white background. The sign measures approximately 48″ tall by 49″ wide by 7″ deep and weighs about 20 pounds. The seller had the sign case fabricated.
The Union 76 brand was introduced by the Union Oil Company of California in 1932. The 76 logo seen here was first used circa 1967, and the translucent domed face displays the blue numerals “76,” outlined in white, against an orange background. This single-sided sign measures approximately 33″ in diameter and 8″ deep and weighs 5 pounds.
The Citgo sign has a mounting cleat, and the Union 76 piece has predrilled mounting holes.
