Saw a reel on IG today where someone claimed that an average, completely untrained person actually has better odds of beating a pro MMA fighter than beating Magnus Carlsen in chess.

Honestly, my first reaction was wtf, because a professional fighter would literally put me in the ER in about three seconds. But the more I sat there and thought about it, the weird part is... is there actually some mathematical logic to this? Chess is completely absolute, zero-luck, whereas fighting technically has a tiny, microscopic window of a lucky punch or a slip-up.

Or is this just classic rage-bait/engagement farming for the algorithm? What do you guys think?
