The two teams will face off in men's international cricket for the first time on Tuesday, September 22, and will play for the Suzuki Cup. The match is scheduled to commence at 1pm local time (9:30am IST, 5am UK time), and will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground. 

The Japan Cricket Association has made arrangements to increase the seating capacity of the stadium from 500 to around 2,000 to accommodate fans, with Tuesday being the Autumnal Equinox Day, which is a national holiday in Japan. 

Japan skipper Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming recently spoke to Wisden's The Scoop about the historic occasion, while also suggesting that the hosts were well prepared for India’s explosive opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
