Jason Statham‘s 2024 action hit The Beekeeper is heading to a new streaming platform ahead of the franchise’s upcoming sequel. The action thriller stars Statham as Adam Clay, a former operative drawn into a dangerous mission of revenge. Its move to streaming comes as anticipation builds for The Beekeeper 2.

Jason Statham’s The Beekeeper is coming to Peacock

Jason Statham’s 2024 action hit The Beekeeper is heading to Peacock ahead of its upcoming sequel. According to CBR, the action thriller will begin streaming on the platform on September 1, 2026.

Directed by David Ayer and written by Kurt Wimmer, The Beekeeper was released on January 12, 2024. Statham stars in the film as Adam Clay, a beekeeper whose quiet life changes after Eloise Parker, the woman who rents him a barn, becomes the victim of a phishing scam and dies by suicide after losing her money and funds connected to a charity she administers. 

The incident leads Clay to pursue those responsible, eventually revealing his connection to a classified program known as the Beekeepers. As he tracks down the people behind the scam and works his way toward the person running the operation, FBI agent Verona Parker and her partner, Agent Matt Wiley, follow his trail.

The cast includes Jason Statham as Adam Clay, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Verona Parker, Bobby Naderi as Matt Wiley, Josh Hutcherson as Derek Danforth, Minnie Driver as Janet Harward, and David Witts as Mickey Garnett, among others.

The Beekeeper received generally positive reviews from critics. The film currently holds a 71 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 181 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score is considerably higher at 92 percent. Mark Jackson of Epoch Times noted, “A very fun B-movie packed with butt-kickery and bee one-liners.”

A sequel, The Beekeeper 2, is scheduled to receive a theatrical release in the U.S. on January 15, 2027.
