Juventus Keen on Retaining Bremer and Kalulu Long-Term

Gleison Bremer and Pierre Kalulu have been two of the best Juventus performers in the early going, aside from the collapse against Sassuolo. The brass is oriented to keep them for years to come. The officials have scheduled talks to prolong their contracts, but the talks aren’t that advanced yet, Corriere dello Sport informs (via PressReader).

The Brazilian defender has looked like his best self so far and has already scored twice. He recently switched representatives, turning to the Legacy Football Agency. He wasn’t close to leaving last summer, but he had some pretty eventful months. Bayern Munich and Galatasaray tested the waters. The Bianconeri would have sold him only for a very large fee that would have funded multiple acquisitions.

After reflecting on his future, Bremer took himself off the market and re-embraced Juventus, while inquiries for Pierre Kalulu, mostly from England, didn’t go far. He’s been a trusted lieutenant for every coach since he joined. Zinedine Zidane also rewarded him for his performances by reintroducing him in the France squad after he missed the World Cup.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are working on a deal that would lock him down for almost the rest of his career. He’s rather underpaid, as he’d earn €2.5M annually until 2029 as things stand. His leadership and composure are influential outside the pitch as well.

Our Take on Juventus, Bremer, and Kalulu

The judgment on their additions is still mixed, but not cashing in on anybody relevant was a pretty significant success last summer. Both are keepers. However, their expiration dates aren’t too close. There’s ample time to come to terms.
