LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Lapu-Lapu City officials said they have started tightening project monitoring and procurement preparations after the Commission on Audit (COA) found that projects with P379.59 million in appropriations remained unimplemented. The city government said it began taking steps to address the backlog even before the official audit report was released, including holding monthly meetings of its project monitoring committee and hiring additional engineers and draftsmen.
