Lindsay Lohan starred in the werewolf horror movie Among the Shadows almost a decade ago. A supernatural thriller packed with werewolves, the flick was forgotten soon after its release, but now it is available to stream for free.

For all the Lohan fans out there, this supernatural horror thriller film directed by Tiago Mesquita and written by Mark Morgan can now be watched for free on YouTube. This comes seven years after the movie was initially released in the United States on video on demand on March 5, 2019.

What to know about Lindsay Lohan’s werewolf thriller Among the Shadows

Among the Shadows is about Kristy Wolfe, a Brussels-based private investigator who is a descendant of a line of werewolves. As a detective, Wolfe has to conceal her identity to solve the mystery behind her uncle’s death, but it’s not long before she discovers a political conspiracy hidden in plain sight.

The political murder mystery starred Lohan in a supporting role as Patricia Sherman, the elegant, fur-coat-wearing wife of a European president. Meanwhile, the movie was led by Charlotte Beckett as Detective Kristy Wolfe and Gianni Capaldi as Lieutenant McGregor.

The ensemble also included Dominik Madani, Reynald Bialès, Barry Jay Minoff, Kristoffel Verdonck, Olivier Englebert, Peter Organ, Jean-Michel Vovk, John Flanders, Daniel Hugh Kelly, Bond Mgebrishvili, Angelina Grace, Gaelle Gillis, Simon Cotton, John Culliford, Martin Harris, Samantha Whaley, Yvonne Miranda, and Véronique Seghers.

Among the Shadows was met with very few reviews from mainstream media outlets. On Rotten Tomatoes itself, it has only one review on the Tomatometer, while the Popcornmeter gave it a spoiled 22% approval score.

The sole critical review on the review aggregator rated it 1/10, stating: “The Director clearly had zero idea on how to pace the movie or how to move the plot along as between almost every scene we are bombarded with generic, stock footage aerial shots of major cities.”

However, it’s worth noting that the movie earned a place among Parade‘s list of 31 best werewolf movies, with the publication describing it as a “mystery, horror, and political thriller rolled into one package.” If anything, the film could be classified as an underrated werewolf movie.
