It's crunch time in the International bracket of the Little League World Series.

Japan has strung together four consecutive wins to survive elimination play after suffering a 6-0 first-round loss to Curacao on Aug. 21. Next up? A Nicaragua team that on Aug. 26 fell 12-3 to the same Curacao buzzsaw that sent Japan into must-win mode for the rest of the tournament.

At stake for both teams is a spot in the tournament's International Championship Game and another shot at Curacao on Aug. 29.

Japan qualified for this game with a 7-3 win over Canada on Aug. 26.

Nicaragua vs. Japan was one of two Aug. 27 games moved up to a 9 a.m. ET start due to anticipated thunderstorms in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, later in the day. So grab your coffee, it's time for some morning baseball.
