This 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand drive example that was imported to the US in 2018 following a build completed by Arkonik of Somerset, England. Finished in Santorini Black over Beachwood tan leather, the truck is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 mated with a 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission and an LT230 dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 18″ Sawtooth wheels, a roof rack, a Warn winch, a rear NAS bumper, Terrafirma rock sliders, LED lighting, heated Elite front seats, air conditioning, and a Pioneer head unit. It was acquired by the current owner on BaT in September 2021, and subsequently outfitted with a Tarox big brake kit and a push-button gear selector. This Arkonik 110 is now offered in California by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC that lists the truck as a 1992 model.
During the Arkonik build, the body was refinished in Santorini Black following the replacement of a number of body panels that included the bulkhead. It features a Front Runner roof rack and ladder, a KBX grille and wing vents, a Warn ZEON 12-S winch, a Safari snorkel, Terrafirma rock sliders, LED auxiliary lighting, black diamond plate trim, and an NAS rear bumper with a 2″ receiver hitch.
Black-finished 18” Sawtooth wheels were mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires in 2022, at which point the steering gearbox was rebuilt, and a Tarox big brake kit was installed. A spare wheel is mounted to a swing-away carrier at the rear, and the truck is further equipped with Koni shocks.
The cabin was retrimmed in Beachwood tan leather upholstery with diamond-patterned stitching as part of the Arkonik. Amenities include heated Elite front bucket seats, individual high-back second-row seats, and inward-facing rear jump seats as well as an Alcantara headliner, a heated windshield, a custom switch panel, and a Pioneer head unit linked to an Alpine amplifier. Under current ownership, a push-button gear selector was installed, and the air conditioning condenser, fan assembly, and vents were replaced.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and engine temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 is outfitted with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a custom air intake system, a dual-battery setup, and a Flowmaster exhaust system. In 2022, the serpentine belts and heater hoses were replaced.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a GM 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission and an LT230 dual-range transfer case. A front skid plate was installed during the build in addition to heavy-duty front and rear axle shafts, differential covers, and an aftermarket transmission cooler with an electric fan.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage from an initial entry in December 2019.
The truck is titled in Montana but located in California. It has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, and it has not passed a California smog test.
