I have talked a million times about how I understand the pressure of having a perfect wedding, but not really. My way of seeing things is that the important thing about it is to get together with you love one in a union of both families. And, overall, a wedding is just the celebration of that, not a modeling show, not a concert, not a royal wedding. That's why I only understand the pressure that goes on them to a certain extent. I understand the idea of wanting to look pretty, wanting every guest to have a nice time and eat food they like, and I understand that music is key for this kind of event. What I do not get at all is the obsession with losing weight before the wedding, the floral arrangement that cost over 30k, the photographs having to be Instagram-worthy, or the ring having to have a million diamonds so that you can start the marriage in debt.
Which takes me to the story; here we see one of the things that I never understand, but taken to an insane level. We have a bride that would be better called Bridezilla who wants to have the most aesthetic Instagram-worthy wedding. So of course decorations are important, but so are the bridesmaids. She decided that all of them, including the maid of honor, were going to wear the same color dress, except Mona. This was because she looks like a model, so she got a better-colored dress to stand next to the bride, as it looks better in pictures, I guess… Of course that the maid of honor took it horribly, as she should. Who can blame her? She's being called ugly for not getting the perks of being the maid of honor but still having to do all the work. What do you think about it? Would you accept this kind of behavior from the bride? I think this is too much, and dropping out of the wedding was the best thing she could do for her mental health. That bride is not a friend; that is a mean girl.
