Co-founder of Veggie Nuggets, Emily Herra, collaborated with a team to revitalize an abandoned plot into a vibrant community garden. Despite facing setbacks, such as a contractor's destruction of their work, the group demonstrated resilience and rebuilt their garden. Their dedication earned them the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes, which aids future climate activism. Herra's initiative spotlights the impactful role youth can play in fostering sustainability in their communities.
