Megawide Construction Corp. (“Megawide” or “the Company”), through its engineering, procurement, and construction (“EPC”) arm, has achieved two major milestones in its horizontal housing contracts with PH1 World Developers, Inc (“PH1”). Last October 15, Megawide completed the Northscapes San Jose del Monte (“Northscapes”) in Bulacan with a contract value of P575M. On the same day, it also turned over three blocks comprising 40 housing units at Southscapes Trece Martires (“Southscapes”) in Cavite, under a P593M contract.
“Horizontal housing development presents a distinct set of challenges because it involves delivering an entire community with speed, consistency, and efficiency. Our integrated platform—from design and engineering to procurement and construction—allows us to take a holistic view of each project, work more efficiently, and deliver more effectively,” said Megawide Construction Chief Operating Officer Frederick Tan.
The projects showcase Megawide’s engineering expertise and precast capabilities in residential development to streamline construction, improve consistency, reduce waste, and minimize reliance on labor-intensive on-site activities. By producing precast components off-site while work progresses on-site, Megawide enables construction activities to run in parallel, helping shorten timelines while maintaining consistent quality.
Bringing Construction Innovation Home in Bulacan
Launched in 2023, Northscapes covers the construction of 329 housing units, together with the road network and land development, within the 4.6-hectare residential community in Barangay Kaypian, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The project was completed in under three years and designed for modern, energy-efficient living. The completion of this project marks progress in delivering this scope and demonstrates the application of Megawide’s integrated construction approach to horizontal housing.
Moving Housing Delivery Forward in Cavite
In Barangay Lapidario, Trece Martires City, Cavite, Megawide turned over three blocks comprising 40 units at Southscapes, PH1’s maiden horizontal development in the South. Spanning approximately five hectares, covers 394 housing units, offering townhouse and single-attached home options for Filipino families. The three-block turnover marks a complete portion of the development as construction progresses toward delivery of the remaining units.
For PH1 World Developers, these milestones underscore the value of partnering with a contractor that combines construction expertise with industrialized building solutions.
“Our vision is to make quality homes more accessible to Filipino families. Achieving that vision requires us to rethink not only where homes are built, but also how they are delivered. Working with Megawide enables us to adopt a more coordinated approach that brings greater consistency and efficiency to our developments,” said PH1 World Developers President Gigi Alcantara.
Together, these milestones demonstrate how Megawide is applying its engineering expertise and precast capabilities to advance horizontal housing development — translating construction technology into consistent quality, efficient resource use, and homes ready for turnover to its partners.
