Meximutt, also known as O Algo or Mateo, is a meme character derived from the Soyjak family of Wojak memes that caricatures Mexicans and Hispanic people through exaggerated facial features and stereotypical imagery. The meme is modeled after Amerimutt, a similar character used to mock Americans, and incorporates the Spanish phrase "o algo," meaning "or something," as a counterpart to Amerimutt's recurring catchphrase.
Originally associated with imageboard culture, particularly SoyBooru, Soyjak.party and 4chan, the character has since spread to mainstream social media platforms, particularly TikTok, where it has been adapted with AI and used in surrealist memes, ironic shitposting and brainrot content.
