U.S. President Donald Trump has one famous supporter in his corner, so to speak.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson told Piers Morgan Uncensored that Trump is “not a p—y president,” reported the U.S. version of the Daily Mail .

Tyson, a longtime pal of the Donald, first met him as an 1980s-era young heavyweight as Trump was rising up the ranks of real estate in New York and Atlantic City.

“I voted for him,” the 60-year-old boxer told Morgan. “I ran the streets for him. You know, me getting votes … I’m very proud of him. He’s somebody that everybody should be proud of.”

Turns out Trump has been a longtime supporter of the former heavyweight champion who fought at Trump’s hotels and casinos, and added Trump to his unofficial entourage, with the two remaining friends during their respective rollercoaster lives.

“Listen, if you didn’t know who Donald Trump was and you didn’t know his name, you would think he’s Black,” said Tyson of Trump, who’s battled multiple bankruptcies and sexual misconduct allegations.

“When he went for president, he was bankrupt … He owed taxes, he owed so much money,” claimed Tyson.

Trump biz declared bankruptcy half-dozen times

In reality, Trump’s businesses did declare bankruptcy six times with the last filing in 2009, but they were over before his successful 2016 White House run.

While Trump has never been convicted of any sexual misconduct, a federal jury found him liable at a 2023 civil trial for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll.

A later trial saw a federal jury ordering the U.S. President to pay another $83.3 million on top of the initial $5 million penalty to Carroll.

“All this sex abuse and all that stuff that he went through,” said Tyson to Morgan. “People don’t normally go that well. They normally have a nervous breakdown. He handled it. And that’s why everyone has to respect him. Just from the way he handled his court procedures … I don’t care if you hate his guts … you have to respect that. Just off the bat.”

Tyson’s rape conviction ‘already punitive’

Trump also previously supported Tyson in the face of sexual misconduct claims.

When Tyson was convicted of rape in Indiana in 1992, Trump told NBC the boxer was “railroaded in the case” and questioned the victim’s story.

Trump also said Tyson should be allowed to stay out of prison by giving “millions and millions” of dollars to the victim.

The U.S. President told the New York Post in 1992: “What has happened to him, the conviction, is already punitive. The victim has had the satisfaction of humbling him and being vindicated.”

That support didn’t come up with Morgan, although Trump surviving a 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania while campaigning did, leading to the “not a p—y president” comment.
