This 2000 Honda Civic CX hatchback was modified in the style of a Civic Type R circa 2008 by King Motorsports in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and was acquired by the seller in 2026. Finished in Taffeta White over red and black cloth, it is powered by a retrofitted 1.8-liter B18C inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes an AEM cold air intake, a cat-delete resonated mid-pipe, a Mugen “Twin Loop” axle-back muffler, front and rear strut tower braces, an ASR 22mm rear sway bar kit, H&R springs, adjustable Tokico dampers, an OEM-style front big brake kit, 16″ Rota alloy wheels, Type R-style exterior elements, Sparco front seats, an Integra Type R rear bench, crank windows, and a CD stereo. This modified sixth-gen Civic is offered with spare parts, build invoices, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Taffeta White and features the following Type R-style and aftermarket elements:
- Front lip spoiler
- Mugen grille badge
- Headlights
- Amber side markers
- Thin side moldings
- Side skirts
- Rear lip spoiler
- Red badges
The right mirror housing and lens are cracked, and the middle clip of the rear spoiler base plate is broken.
Bronze-finished 16″ Rota Circuit wheels were mounted with Yokohama Advan Fleva tires in 2026. The lowered suspension features front and rear strut tower braces, an ASR 22mm rear sway bar and rear subframe brace, and H&R springs paired with adjustable Tokico Illumina dampers. The outer tie rod ends require replacement. Braking is handled by larger OEM-style front calipers with a Fastbrake adapter kit fitted over 280mm StopTech cross-drilled rotors, joined by factory rear drums.
The red articulating Sparco sport seats with sliders are joined by a split-folding rear bench sourced from an Integra Type R that is trimmed in black microsuede with mesh inserts. Sound insulation was removed from the floors before replacement red carpets were installed. Appointments include a cabin heater, an armrest-delete center console, crank windows, and a CD stereo. The seller tells us that the radio intermittently changes stations.
The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a replacement instrument cluster swapped from a Civic Type R consisting of a 190-km/h speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The replacement six-digit odometer shows 114k kilometers (~71k miles), less than 1k of which were driven under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.8-liter B18C VTEC inline-four was retrofitted in 2008 and features a K&N Dryflow air filter, an AEM cold air intake, and a custom exhaust system with a Magnaflow resonator and a Mugen “Twin Loop” axle-back section. The left engine mount was replaced in 2019, and Hasport 62A lower torque mounts were installed in 2026. A dyno graph can be viewed in the gallery. The factory catalytic converter has been removed.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel and a replacement factory clutch installed in 2008, as well as a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
