Snoop Dogg will be hosting the 2026 MTV VMA Awards, which will stream tonight. The live stream will be available exclusively for Paramount+ Premium subscribers in the United States.
According to recent updates, the 2026 VMAs will take place live on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater at 7:30 PM ET. Fans can watch the show live on CBS and on MTV via simulcast. The Video Music Awards will return to Los Angeles for the first time since 2017.
The ceremony will feature musical performances from several reputed artists. Paramount+ Premium costs $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year and is required to watch the VMAs live. Essential subscribers, whose plan costs $8.99 per month or $89.99 per year, will only be able to watch the special on demand the following day.
Madonna and Taylor Swift lead a night packed with major VMA momentsMadonna is making a long-awaited return to the VMAs after more than two decades. The 68-year-old singer has not attended the VMAs since 2003, and she will be kicking off the award show with an opening performance.
Alongside her, Taylor Swift is also being honored at this year’s ceremony. Reports revealed that Swift will be the inaugural recipient of the Artist Director Honors award. Artists who excel behind the camera, particularly in creating music videos and utilizing visuals to tell stories in innovative ways, will be honored with the newly introduced MTV VMA Artist Director Honors.
Alongside Madonna and Swift, rock band Nirvana will be honored with the Video Vanguard Award. The legendary rock band performed at the VMAs back in 1992. In addition, George Michael and his music will be celebrated with a special tribute from RAYE, Sombr, and Teddy Swims.
The 2026 VMAs will also feature performances from GENER8ION, LISA, Shaboozey, Gunna, SIENNA SPIRO, and Yung Lean, among others.
