The Nigerian Air Force has assured the families of those affected by the recent aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State, of full welfare support and timely processing of all applicable benefits.

Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Aneke gave the assurance as recovery operations continued at the crash site, where challenging underwater conditions and the depth of the wreckage have slowed progress.

In a statement released on Friday by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the service said it would provide necessary assistance to the bereaved families during this difficult period.

The support package includes applicable entitlements, benevolent funds, scholarships for eligible children, and other approved welfare benefits.

The NAF emphasised that its duty to the affected families goes beyond the ongoing recovery efforts.

“The NAF recognises that its responsibility to the affected families extends beyond the recovery operations and remains committed to providing the necessary support with compassion, dignity and a deep sense of duty,” the statement said.
