Delta North senator and billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko, has appealed to fans, bloggers and social media users to give his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, space to recover from her health struggles, while warning that he will take legal action against those spreading false reports about her.
In a press statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Nwoko said the online harassment and speculation surrounding the actress were making her recovery harder.
“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise,” he wrote, adding that she needs love, support and time to heal.
The senator said a video the actress shared on her birthday gave the public a glimpse of her health struggles, and urged Nigerians to respond with compassion rather than judgement.
Nwoko also faulted those he accused of circulating fabricated reports about Regina, including fake death announcements and misleading stories about her health and personal life. “I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina,” he said.
He disclosed that his team is documenting the publications and that those responsible would face legal consequences. “There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached,” he stated.
The statement follows weeks of public concern over the actress. In October, Regina spoke about severe leg pain, swelling and weakness that made it hard for her to walk, and she was seen in a wheelchair at her birthday event. The development also fuelled fresh rumours about the state of her marriage to the senator.
Nwoko’s personal assistant later reacted under the post, saying Regina “deserves compassion, privacy and the opportunity to heal without constant public scrutiny.”
The couple have been in the spotlight since a very public family dispute in November 2025, which saw both sides trade claims in the media.
