Hi everyone, my names Rhys, I run GB Tech reviews on TikTok and started HProductions. I have the Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max which runs HarmonyOS 7.
It's very limited with the obvious, Google, but the new HarmonyOS NEXT updates have made it a lot more restricted with Cloud Storage and randomly, a bloody keyboard!
So it pushed me to build a Backup App that allows users on HarmonyOS to backup to Google, and I built a Keyboard called HarmoniKeyboard (will be HKeyboard on Google)/
The keyboard is awesome, I have to say it. It's going to have insane customization on it, speed, and to be honest, just bloody perfection. I'm based in the UK, I read through as much reviews and feedback as possible to make sure the keyboard hits the mark. I always used Gboard when I had Samsung, but can't use it on HarmonyOS.
So I thought I would let you know, this keyboard is coming to Google Play Store soon. I am finishing an update for HarmonyOS and EMUI versions of the Keyboard, then I will be porting it straight over to GPlay.
If you're interested, comment below and let me know what you hope to get from it. It has a Privacy settings, the only internet access it requires is when you want to download a dictionary for languages. English will be downloaded as default, most other languages will have dictionaries to download from GitHub. I have thought about an Account Creation on there, reason for this, the keyboard is customizable, it builds your own dictionary on the phone, so losing what you have is a bit of a twat and ruins the experience going to a new phone if you have to save everything all over again. Gboard is great for this, that's one of the reasons I always used it...
Anyway enough rambling on like a fart after a midnight curry.
Will be good to see what you all think, I will share a video of it soon, currently coding, trying to refine things and just make sure it's all good.
