Royal Caribbean's newest megaship is set to make its U.S. debut this weekend.
Passengers will board Legend of the Seas, the cruise line's third Icon Class vessel, at Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades on Sunday for a pre-inaugural three-night trip to the Bahamas.
The cruise line added the departure ahead of the ship's previously announced Nov. 11 inaugural voyage from the cruise hub, giving travelers an early chance to experience its newest Icon Class ship.
The sailing will include a stop at Royal Caribbean's private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, followed by a day at sea before returning to Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 11.
Legend of the Seas and two sister vessels share the title of world's biggest cruise ship. ROYAL CARIBBEANAt 248,633 gross tons, Legend of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship, sharing the title with its two same-size Icon Class sisters, Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas. The vessel can accommodate up to 7,600 passengers and approximately 2,350 crew members.
Like its sister ships, Legend of the Seas features eight neighborhoods, seven pools and a lineup of family-friendly attractions, including Category 6, a six-slide water park. The ship also introduces several new experiences, including the Hollywood-themed Hollywoodland Supper Club and additional dining options in the AquaDome.

Legend of the Seas debuted in Europe in summer 2026, sailing seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Rome before crossing the Atlantic to begin its Caribbean season.
Following two initial Bahamas sailings, Legend of the Seas will operate six- to eight-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale to Western and Southern Caribbean destinations — including some places, like Aruba and Curacao, that don't normally see much action from Icon Class ships. Depending on the sailing, it'll also make port calls in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. Plus, every sailing will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Rates for six-night trips begin around $1,000 per person, and eight-night trips begin around $1,400. However, prices differ greatly based on your chosen itinerary, room type and dates of travel.
