Former Lokomotiv Moscow president, Nikolai Naumov, has warned Russia that Eric Chelle’s men are not Namibia ahead of both sides’ international friendly on Tuesday.
Naumov gave the warning after Russia thrashed Namibia 6-0 in an international friendly played on Saturday.
“I don’t think there will be a rout. It is going to be a tougher game,” Naumov said to euro-football.ru.
“This is not Namibia. They have a higher rating. They are a stronger team.”
Russia and Nigeria last faced each other in Moscow last year. The Super Eagles played 1-1 against the hosts.
Ajax striker Tolu Arokodare’s second-half goal cancelled out Semi Ajayi’s own goal.
