Opponent resigned here in blitz. Foolish of them to expect that I kwow how to checkmate with only a knight and a bishop

Seriously, I don't understand why you would resign here. Even at like 2000 I wouldn't expect my opponent to checkmate like this in a time scramble 100% for sure, especially because of the 50-move-rule. Of course you should probably know it by then but it's such a rare occurance that some people just never learned it, including me. I should look into it tho
